Traineeship abroad with Erasmus+
A traineeship can be conducted at foreign academic and non-academic institutions (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, etc.). Such institutions must be located in one of the following countries: EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Turkey.
A training period at a receiving institution must be at least 2 full calendar months.
A student qualified for Erasmus+ traineeship programme must meet the following formal criteria:
-
A student qualified by the MUW to go abroad must be a citizen of any country or have the status of a stateless person. The only condition to take part in Erasmus+ is to be a student of the MUW.
-
A student qualified to take part in Erasmus+ must be enrolled for undergraduate, graduate or doctoral studies or long-cycle studies at a Polish sending institution.
-
A student qualified to go abroad cannot stay (during the scholarship) on the dean’s leave or any other leave.
-
Taking part in the traineeship should not collide with the completion of the studies within the deadline specified in the study curriculum.
During the qualification procedure the following evaluation criteria are taken into account:
-
arithmetic mean of the grades of all years of studies; the calculation covers the examination grades, including retake grades, if any (the arithmetic mean does not include credits),
-
documented fluency in a foreign language required by the partner university at a level that makes it possible to continue studies,
-
documented activity at a research club (an opinion of a supervisor, publications, participation in conferences, contests, etc.).
The priority to take part in Erasmus+ programme is granted to students applying for it for the first time.
The scholarship granted to a student is intended for paying additional costs of going to and being on a traineeship (e.g. travel and insurance expenses, increased costs of subsistence abroad). The purpose of the scholarship is not to cover full costs of travel and subsistence abroad.
Also graduates are allowed to go on a traineeship; however, such a candidate must be recruited during the last year of studies and must conduct and complete the foreign traineeship within 12 months since the date of graduation.
